Mr. Burrows IS inspiration itself.

My film as literature teacher in my senior year of high school is Mr. Burrows.  He is the definition of inspiration; an inspiring or animating action or influence.  From day one all the way to the last day of school, he has inspired me and every other student in his class.  Even past students think he is inspiring.  The first few words that pop into people's heads when Mr. Burrows is brought up is "he is inspiring".

Film as literature (aka "film lit") class was like a mash-up of psychology, English, film class, and art.  Your view on life will change because of this class.  The movies we watched all related to everything I listed and it all relates because; movies show our lives.

Before we even watched movies, we took the first day to look at pictures and art.   Movies run at 24 frames per second, so looking at a picture is like practicing.  Take for example, the iceberg above.  Usually, people look at icebergs only from the top and never really think about how it looks like from the bottom.  Or a person may look at something literally rather than figuratively.  The way a person view things can explain a lot about the person him/herself.  This was the first day of Mr. Burrows' class and I still remember it to this day.  Everyday of his class was like the first day; amazing, mind-blowing, and inspirational.

Other than being able to view movies differently, my view on life has also changed by a great deal.  Whenever the students would look for a deeper meaning in something, we called it "film litting it."  During the time I was taking film lit, I couldn't stop "film litting" everything I saw.  Nowadays, I still "film lit" things, but not as much.  Every action, every picture, and every word spoken has a deeper meaning to it.  To add on to that thought, the only reason why everything has a deeper meaning to it is because death exists.  If we were all immortal, then a lot of things would not have any meaning to it.

Everything I wrote about on this post is because of Mr. Burrows.  Without his teachings, I would be very ignorant and not be as inspired to prosper.
